Studio Katia Blog Hop
Yay!! We are celebrating Studio Katia's 2nd Birthday and the May new release with a blog hop! Today is day 2 of the blog hop, be sure to check yesterday's post for a chance to win some awesome prizes and inspirations from the entire DT, as well as some talented guests joining us in our celebration.
For today's project I created a fun and simple watery background using one of the latest stamp from the new release 'Mermaid For Each Other' and coordinating die.
For my background I blended peacock feathers and blueprint sketch distress inks (its my go to colours when creating anything watery background) onto a watercolor paper. I spritzed some clean water to move the colour around, to create a loose watercolor look. Then dried it immediately using a heat tool. I did this a couple of times and drying it in between.
I coloured my images with copic markers and die cut them using its coordinating dies. I also die cut some hearts using red cardstock and added some glossy accent to the die cut hearts. I stamped my sentiment in black and that finishes my card for today.
Hope you enjoyed today's post and until next time.

I also splattered some clean water and with a paper towel picked up some of the excess water(after 30 seconds) to create a distress look. I also added some white paint and perfect pearls for added details to my watery background. I trimmed my background using the largest rectangle from the 'Darling Ribbon & Dotted Frames' creative die.
Hope you enjoyed today's post and until next time.
