Studio Katia - Floral Birthday Card

Hello Friends! I'm over at Studio Katia blog, sharing this floral birthday card using some products from the last release and from the May New Release.

I wanted to use the floral stamp from the Japanese Peony as my focal point behind the Halftone Dots Cover creative die. I just LOVE this new cover plate die, it's perfect for creating a quick and easy background! Its a total must have!!

On a watercolor paper,  I stamped the peony in Versafine Vintage Sepia ink and then watercolored the image. I then die cut the image using its coordinating die .

I die cut a combination of steel grey and fog cardstock for my background using the  Halftone Dots Cover.  Then I overlapped the two cardstock together for added interest, it's hard to see on the photo but it makes the darker grey pop up more. The Halftone Dots Cover Die is perfect when you want to create a quick and easy background.

I white heat embossed the sentiment from the Birthday Greetings stamp set on a black cardstock, added some Gold Crystals  to finish the card.

I hope you enjoyed today's post and until next time! Happy Crafting!

Hugs,
Rowena
